8 sliders, a range of 0-255 (matching DMX range):
This Max-for-live device lets you send integer OSC signals to another program, with a ranges of either 0-1000 or 0-255. The 0-255 variant is useful for driving DMX values in another program (such as Madmapper) without converting the values.
To use: drag this device into an Ableton Live MIDI track.
You can have multiple instances of this device in the same project, using different OSC paths from different Ableton tracks / lanes simultaneously.
Set the IP address of the computer where the receiving program is running. When the receiver is running on the same host as Ableton Live, use 127.0.0.1 (localhost).
The slider bank includes 8 sliders: A-H. Each slider has a customizable OSC path.
OSC signals are sent every time a slider moves, and the destination path will be set to whatever is contained in the path field *at that time*.
For manual control, simply drag the sliders.
You can automate the sliders in Arrangement View by right-clicking on the sliders and selecting “Show Automation” or “Show Automation In New Lane”.
You can also program the sliders inside an ABL MIDI clip through the midi clip envelope area.
